: Alarm & Muster Alert, Gun Confiscation Wednesday
: Coldwater January 25, 2011, 07:33:28 PM
I have just received a phone call from one of the other South Region Alarm & Muster state PoCs.  He informed me that he has received some intel that the feds are preparing to hit all the Patriot groups members on their watch lists in order to confiscate all high capacity magazines.  They are supposedly using the patriot act as the legal means to do this by identifying us as "domestic terrorists".  Of course this is patently illegal but when has that ever stopped them from doing whatever they want?  If I get any more info I will forward it to the list immediately.  You may want to take whatever precautions you see fit at this time.  If this does go down I'm sure there will be a callout.  Be prepared.

Right now, my semi-auto B.R. is at a local gunsmith
while my 30-rd. mags are here at home.

I'm certainly NOT surrenduring them whatsoever.  ::cr

I'm suffering from "normalcy bias" (thanks Ex) on this one ... but we will see.  Wonder if they consider Oath Keepers a "Patriot Group" worth watching?  :-\

I don't give this intel much credit.  I have heard nothing from my sources.

No offense to those who are involved in Alarm and Muster, but after I signed up I got lots of crazy, tin-foil alerts that never panned out.  If anyone has a visit from the feds on Wednesday to confiscate their high-cap magazines, I will... I don't know... what can I do?  I'll take back all the bad things I said about Alarm and Muster.

On the other hand, if nothing happens on Wednesday, will all of you who subscribe to that group quit it, like I did?

The concept of the group is a good one, but it has become the little conspiracy group that cried wolf.  They lost all credibility with me.  If they want to be taken seriously, they need to research these wild claims before they issue alerts.

In order for the "Feds" to show up and confiscate anything they have to have a law allowing them to do so.  There is currently nothing on the books that will allow them to grab your toys so this is obviously false...

Now if some part of the this groups has been plotting something that is illegal then they probably will get a visit and a whole lot more than their large capacity magazines will get confiscated.

What happened in New Orleans was "illegal" & nothing prevented that. The fed ptb disregard "law" at will. The tyrant Lincoln set the precendent with his war upon the states.  ::fs

I do not expect or trust the feds to act in any manner that is on the interest of the Constitution or the bounds placed upon them by the same.

Well this alarm is about to pass. Though some will dismiss it with a sneer It is always good to be on alert.

Ive got to admit, when I first saw this, my forst thought was, Really? Someone said theyw ould need a law, well the Patriot Act would give em all the reason they need. But then again. Could you imagine the resources it would require to "raid" all the Oath Keepers? That alone should tell you it aint gonna happen.

Well this alarm is about to pass. Though some will dismiss it with a sneer It is always good to be on alert.

While it is always good to be on alert, I don't think it is usually a good idea to put too much faith in outlandish alerts, especially from a group that has such a poor track record.  I think they were the group that warned about a forced evacuation of Florida because of the oil spill in the gulf.  We have had a couple of wind nuts on this forum in the past.  One of them kept going on about a mutated H1N1 flu and UN troops invading the US on such-and-such a date.  And that's just a couple of examples.  I could go on!  I'm not even mentioning half the stuff on Alex Jones' web site!

People passing these silly rumors around is going to cause some to become jaded.  When a REAL threat materializes, a lot of people won't pay attention to it because of all the false alarms they've heard before.  These tin-foil conspiracies do all of us a great disservice.

Well, when someone makes a post that states something along the line of, "several (insert group here) members have been raided, or are being raided" then we can give it a little credit.

My cousin's husband is Secret Service, my little brother is a Fed and I am a former Federal cop who was laid off without a proper hearing due to my VA Disability.  With the rantings I make on Facebook in my own name, I am sure I am on several lists but I am still going to post because they can't take away my 1st or my 2nd Amendment.  At the age of 17, I swore that I would support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I would bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I would obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.  I still believe in that Oath but if they kicked in my door over owning something that is totally legal and that I own only for the protection of my family, then they will find out what the 2nd Amendment is all about.

Got an e-mail from A&M POC that this was about the Feds investigating states unlawfully selling hi-caps  that have bans, i.e NY, NJ, CA.....but I wouldn't have been surprised if it was a FEDGOV putting out disinformation.

I dont think its the Fed putting out misinformation.... I think the problem is those who are driving prices... If you have stock, you control prices... Thats where we screw ourselves, we purchase out of fear.... Something I stopped doing quite a while ago...
I try to make my purchases logically, and with purpose.... When I purchased out of fear, I had nothing useful....

I got a similar email about the feds investigating groups in this area unlawfully selling hub caps.  I think that's different though.

I read a great thread in responce to a news story on The Blaze web site. It goes like this... If you think the S has HTF so you run out of your house in full battle rattle gear and camo; and your the only one in the street, go back in the house, it's not time yet.

Moi cuchilla grande (caution, not sold at taco bell!)

I was a member of alarm and muster, I thought it had a lot of merit at the time.  At least the original premise of the organization.  Since I've now moved and had so much health problems, I have kind of gotten away from the group.

Well, lets not count them out just yet... I have been told this member (the one that put this alert out) has quit because of his disinformation technique. So let continue with what they need to do to improve upon what they have already started....

What do you want out of this type of organization Assistance wise?
How do you want this type of organization to help you?
What do you want to get out of this type of organization information wise?
Do you want alerts?
Do you want helpful hints?
Or
Do you want to figure it out for yourselves?

Sentry, is that a rhetorical question, or do you really want to know what changes we would like to see?  Speaking for myself, the main... really only... change I would like to see is only alerts that have been confirmed by a credible source get sent out.  No more, "I heard from my cousin's neighbor's friend that the feds are going door to door confiscating weapons!", or, "I read on infowars.com that UN troops are going to be forcing flu shots on civilians starting this Monday!"

I want to hear only first hand, actual, factual items that are happening already, not someone's crazy tin-foil conspiracy crapola.  Is that asking too much?

No. and I dont feel its asking to ,much....  I think we aught to ask more of those who are willing to offer services such as this... I mean hell if they are going to offer it, it should be credible... Right??? Otherwise, we are only putting ourselves down to allow it, correct?
This is why I raised the questioin to  someone I know who is a POC for the A&M... What are they going to do, to fix the problem....? So far the originator of this thread is no longer a POC for A&M... They are working toward maiing changes to overt more confusion such as this...
