Good Information for Prepper Newbies (and not-so-newbie)
« on: November 27, 2015, 01:34:02 PM »
I listen to "The Survival Podcast", by Jack Spirko.  It's a great daily podcast that goes into a lot of topics, not just survival.  Recently he has had a couple of "retro" shows, going over information for newbies to the prepping community.  Here are links to two of them.  The first is about how to set up a basic BOB (bug out bag).  If you want to skip the commercials and show info, you can go 15 minutes in and start there.

The second one is about how to get started with your food storage.  It's not as intimidating as many people think.  Again, to skip to the meat of the podcast, skip to 9:30 and start there.

These are both very good episodes to give someone who wants to get on board with prepping, but maybe doesn't know where to start.

He's been losing me ever since he got into the whole permaculture thing.  If I hear him hero-worshiping Geoff Lawton on air one more time I'm going to puke.

The good thing about his podcast is that he does a variety of topics.  I'm not that big on the permaculture thing either, but I can skip those episodes if I want to.

You listen to podcasts on the net.  To do pond casting you need a net.   ^-^
