Youtube preferences
« on: September 30, 2016, 09:45:43 AM »
Looking for some input from those that watch youtube for prep and survival related information, and/or entertainment. I have been kicking some ideas around with a friend, and we are moving from discussion to research. If all goes well this will change into planning, then to execution. Please take a moment and help us out.
What youtube folks do you prefer? Such as Patriot Nurse, or VikingPreparedness.
How did you find them? Searching by topic, or following a friends recommendation?
What do you like about their videos? Pure information, likability of the person, or something else?
Lastly, do you have any ideas you would like to recommend for a video series? Format, topics, whatever.
Thanks y'all.

I usually find videos by searching for a topic or product I'm interested in.

I like David the Good. I've met him several times. Not only does he know his material he lives it.

For gear reviews preparedmind101 is usually pretty thorough. He has a system of presenting that is very organized and he sometimes mentions a similar product up,down, or comparable to it. I already had items that he reviewed and many of them matched my opinion. Some of his videos are long and more detailed but when this happens there is also a condensed less detailed version available as well.

Some others I check into to are Bexar Prepper & Black Scout Survival,

I lean more towards the gear reviews, skills building, homesteading, and dyi videos that are more down to earth and not screaming tactical/military/doomsday. I prefer a lighter presentation geared to a lifestyle of sustainable living.

I watch a few for different things. I do a lot of sidebar clicking of related things that look interesting. If you haven't already done so, create an account there and subscribe to the users you watch. And if you click on one of the related sidebar videos, subscribe to the user if you like the video. Because if you don't, you'll be like me and click on a few more and won't be able to find some of them later. :-[ >:( :-[ :'(

I like Hickok45 for gun reviews:

For gun and gear reviews I watch:
The NutnFancy Project

His videos tend to be a little long, with lots of information and reasoning.

And just because it is a hobby of mine, I also watch BBQ Pit Boys:

I could claim that it is survival related because the use BBQ grills and smokers, but I just like to cook. :D

Some that I watch just because:

Also, if you want to save the videos for later viewing, I use You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to download them. It is free, but I went ahead and paid the one-time fee of $28.50 for the converter license. That way I can convert the file format to what I want or can even rip the audio track for listening on my MP3 player.

I am in no way connected to this company, I just use the product.

I know that there are other programs like this one, but I have had this one for several years now and have not had any problems with it.

I've subscribed to so many survival related channels it would take me an hour to copy and post the list.
Same thing with crime/CSI documentary channels, bad cops doing bad things channels, firearms related channels,i innocence project type stuff,ect.,ECT.

Check out survival on purpose.
He does pretty good/fair gear reviews on thing's that don't cost a second mortgage to afford.
