I gotta say, for several years now they havent been nearly as bad as they were when I was a kid. In the late 60s I remember my Dad having to stop the car because we hit clouds of love bugs that stopped you from seeing past the hood of the car.

I remember being outside and having trouble keeping them out of you mouth, eyes, and nose.  I'm worried though because I remember when they were new to this area...

Last month [april 17] we put almost 2k miles on the bike. Trips from Clearwater to WPB, Flagler, Ocala National forest and only got 5 bug splats on the bike windshield. Couple years ago we would have had to scrape them off after each trip.

Seeing the dreaded Asian Tiger mosquito now. The others have all increased in number now been bit in mid afternoon.
Love bugs I still see likely be more soon. I've tried wet drier sheets, dish soap not rinsed off, wash and wax, and them bugs still stick very good. . .
Asian Tiger mosquito are responsible for delivering yellow fever, dengue fever, zika, and much more. I've not seen them here before in my immediate area and they are out all day. And feed viciously.

March bugs!I call them may flys, but the news calls them that, just a month early.looks like black flying ants.Had a few cold weeks, but now back in the lower 80's and they are hatching.
Glad I don't ride motorcycles anymore, hate sucking one down doing 60 mph.

In the midwest we had boxelder bugs..first warm, sunny spring, they could cover the whole west side of your house.

Not sure if we have asain beetles here.look like lady bugs but a little more orange than red..and they BITE! O0
