Have you changed vehicles? or Made Change to your vehicle
« on: September 04, 2017, 10:38:47 AM »
I am just curious, has anyone else changed their vehicle this year? or will they before the end of the year?
Even if you have made changes to the vehicle you have had?

If you have made a change to your present vehicle, what was it?

Nope, still driving the 2003 Tahoe.  Just rolled over to 240,000 miles.
Did put a set of new Cooper AT's on it though.

I put cooper AT tires on the Jeep, and new bumpers, the front with an -in the bumper- 12,000 pound steel cable winch, and two old school KC highlights driving lights on the bumper bar. The tires required 1.5 inch wheel spacers, and then I added a 2 inch leveling lift to make up for the bigger tires and added weight on the front end.

No new vehicles. My diesel 2500 is old enough it doesn't need DEF and should last a long time. Added a topper to it this year, mostly to keep bags of feed dry when I load up. Feed in the back of my truck seems to attract t-storms.

I recently got an old RV with a Cummins diesel, all mechanical, nothing electronic.  Hopefully its my EMP proof vehicle (or my diesel tractor)

Not necessarily. I did change out some items in the car kit to keep me more comfortable in the event of a break down in light of the freezing temperatures. I also try and have a hot beverage with me as I'm extremely sensitive to the cold. I'll need tires in a few months and it's due for service. I just need to find the time to take it in to be done. The 2nd car is my challenge. I don't drive it so the battery keeps dying. I'm trying a new battery charger which I hope will maintain it to solve that issue. The first one didn't work out well.

Ya may have a draw on the battery like I did in my Tahoe. Found out one night that my vanity mirror light was on because a hinge had broke from age and probably heat. Was killing my battery in months of not driving it. Other than that battery should be good for while

When I got pulled back to Orlando, I bought a second car. My RV/Van is great but it isn't a good commuter car. Also, it isn't great for teaching teenagers to drive. I bought an old Honda Accord for those purposes.

Well, updated the Tahoe last year but only because I got a smoking deal on a newer model GMC Sierra crew cab.
