What a sweet little stove... Got the right stuff (Fuel) for it, broke it out again, did a test run today..

Heats up fast, compact too... At first, I was thinking it wouldn't hold any weight at all, but it is very well balanced on the screen... If it were really cold, you can use it for a little hand warmer too..

Nice work Darkside, thanks again for the stove; A+ craftsmanship...

im glad you like it fred, thanks! i will be bringing mine on the river trip to cook my lunch for the two days and to cook my sides for the saturday night pig roast.  Wink

Make sure to use the highest proof possible.  40 proof ain't gonna cut it.  Maybe Bacardi 151 would work.  Besides, rum tastes better than vodka anyway, IMO.

yeah can also use hi proof alcohol like everclear from what i have read.

I believe Everclear has been outlawed for sale in Florida.  At least the last time I tried to buy it about two years ago the clerk told me it had been outlawed.

  Cheesy  I like the 151 idea and have used it to start a fire in the cold Jan. mornings
out by Half Moon Lake at the ONF just off of 40 east  Huh?
 the more of think what could happen Some times I wish to a few pills to take
if there was a problem the my health would not allow me to deal with
 but then I see this 87yrs old women who have taken boy scouts out on a field
trip out in the Everglades because the was no men was around to take them

Sale of 190proof has been banned in Florida for at least 10years if not longer.Too many binge drinking college kids killed themselves guzzling the stuff.Can still be gotten in Georgia at any liquor store.Matt
