It looks good Postal. If you think about it though it might protect you from a rifle caliber if simone say is snipping at you from long range where the bullets starts slowing down. So maybe in a patrol situation ya never know. and anyting between you and a bullet is better then  nothing..

A more than adequate torture test. Backed with a 1/8" steel plate it should stop rifle rounds (.223, .308, 7.62x39) with acceptible shock to the 'target'. A similar .45Acp test would prove it out to my satisfaction.

i'd be more interested in seeing how much it'd cost to lightly armor the front interior cab of a vehicle.....like maybe some pieces on each seat and on the interior of each door, possibly some on the dash (though relying on the engine black might be easier than the crazy custom cutting and fitting i think that'd take).

something i was looking into and this seems a more economic way to do it.....still by no means cheap but compared to the current armor options, well this kinda thing is more an option.

of course i have no cash and no vehicle as of now so this is all hypothetical lol. when i actually have both i'll try to make some serious inquiries as well as for the actual wearable armor set up. seems doable though.

that's actually pretty affordable if i can get several like minded people to get involved and split the bill and plate material.

plus i have a buddy who's going to college to be an engine technican but he's also gonna do bodywork......and he'd love to help on that project as well as armor his own car.

so idk something i'll look into down the road.....a few years for that kinda project though.

where's it ship from?

I've got a line on getting the laminate fiberglass plates again, but the cost has gone up 30%.
There are now two choices though.
Threat level IIIA that I posted the range test of,and now"Threat level III".
Anyone interested??

Matt

I can't believe it's been four years. But I will continue the trend of new inquiries, I have a little more money than I did four years ago too.

Just not that much.
