Hey FL--anyone hear of anything weird going on right now? (I live just east of Tampa, so I live around ppl who work at MacDill AFB).
It's raining like crazy, tornado watches and warnings. A minivan just pulled up to the house across the street. 4 adults and one kid all in a hurry spent about 10 minutes throwing what looked to be clothing into the van. We couldn't see what else they were putting in the van because it was raining too hard. The really weird part--not only did they leave the van running, but all the doors (including the trunk) were open--in the pouring rain. It was like the rain was the least of their concerns--all the doors were open for 10 minutes in the pouring rain.
Unfortunately, I don't really know them, so I don't know what they do for work...
OK, another car (*nice* 2 door) just pulled up to the house for about 10 minutes. The garage door wasn't open, but the window on the passenger side was open--again, in the pouring rain. Again, there seemed to be no concern. An older heavy set woman got into the car on the passenger side and the car drove away.
This is weird.

Odd maybe they did or maybe they found out a relative died in another state and the funeral is tomorrow. Of course I don't have anyone to mail me Alas, Babylon so I have no idea what's up.

Here's a thought- since most of your neighbors work at McDill could it be possible that something is going to happen soon between us and Russia, or Syria, or China that has not made it to the MSM bunch yet? Something that has not been "leaked out" to the news media that you neighbors may have found out due to where they may have worked at McDill?? Just a thought, times are getting so crazy with our Goobermint anything could occur at any moment.

Or someone got activated and wanted to send the family to stay at "mom and dads" while they are gone, etc. Lots of scenarios open up when you add the military factor.

Why not just go ask the base commander? Don't you have a neighborhood commander that knows everything?

That was my first thought--maybe they work at MacDill and know something the rest of us don't. At any rate we are still here...

Hmmm...I don't know. Been in the USMC or married to it for about 25 years and I've never seen people in such a hurry to get away from somewhere that they didn't care about leaving the car windows and doors open in the pouring rain. That was just weird.

Why not just go ask the base commander?
So, you think it would be a good idea to demand an audience immediately with the biggest cheese on MacDill, tell him you suspect something serious is going on because you saw your neighbors leaving in a hurry, and demand that he tell you what's going down?
Don't you have a neighborhood commander that knows everything?
I've never heard of a "neighborhood commander" and I'm pretty sure I've never had one, but I doubt they are given classified information to pass along to Joe Shmoe and his family.
