Maybe this should have gone in to the rant section, even though the story is about unknowns parties listening to your private CELLULAR COMMUNICATIONS.

I caught a brief piece on Fox news about this too. Seems there is almost no info on who owns the towers and what they do. I'm suspecting data link or microwave repeaters for government communications.
Listening to the gajillions of cell phone conversations going on at any given time would be like going to a giant concert to listen to peoples conversations.

Fish and wildlife is using these to track the elusive Hoot-Hawk.

I thought it was to find snipes. :o

Is that why I'm having headaches?
-
Those damned towers are making me fat!

Is that why I'm having headaches?
Maybe thats what made my man vegetables shrink!

I've read a couple of different articles on these mystery cell towers. No one seems to know who they belong to. They might even belong to the Chinese. I don't understand how no one knows who these towers belong to. The land they are on must belong to someone. It must be leased to whomever put the tower up, right?

I read an article on this the other week on this issue and it seems all the towers are located near military bases and the guys that found them using the low band cell phone device they created mentioned that the frequency used by the towers points to one of the government agencies possably the NSA (no confirmation tho) the engineers that located/discovered the towers couldn't find any transmitting frequency linking the towers so they assumed they were designed for receiving only... this was based on their equipments ability to pick up the towers signals... the towers operate on the 2g cell service and that's why their is a signal interruption on your cell phone as if it went down and than picks up the new signal not 4g it just shows a service signal but is operatable...
If i can find the link to the articale I'll post it here but like i said it was a little over a week ago.....

The govt should know exactly who is operating the towers in question.
They are regulated by both the FAA,and the FCC.
And that's not counting having to meet local zoning, and building codes.
There's got to be paper on them somewhere.

Just remember, if they are receiving only, that cuts out a ton of licensing. They could be a listening station, and relaying the information over the internet or phone lines, so they wouldn't be nearly as harshly regulated as if they were also transmitting on radio waves.

Conspiracy theory, imo. May only just be sky ears, like listening for aliens broadcast...or it may be a form of military or government transmission we aint meant to figure out...

Along the same vein, now the fibbies are upset that Apple and Google are coding an operating system for their phones that encrypt bryond the fibbies ability to snooop on your personal data. TFB!

awesome it's like a Brain EMP protection thingy ma jig... ^-^ ^-^

Maybe I should look for one of them metal miner hard hats to wear all the time.
I have seen lots of military aircraft lately, normally its civilian aircraft getting to the close airports or G-region airport. Something seems up. Get it UP ???
-
Any metal hat is all right but aluminum foil is best because it's all crinkled up. The crinkles act as an electrical coil "choke" that disrupts the frequency of the brain probe rays...

I thought it was because it made it more like stealth technology

I only use Reynolds Wrap Heavy Duty. Sure, it costs a little more, but you get what you pay for.
