Maybe I've been living under a rock too long because I just discovered shelf-stable 2% milk. Gossner Foods 2% milk. Store for up to a year without refrigeration. Refrigerate after opening. Found it at the Dollar Tree in Crestview for $1 a quart. Dollar tree has no cost shipping if you pick it up at the local store so I ordered a couple of cases (12 qt per case). It's real milk. My kids don't know the difference.

We buy this type of product at the local grocery store on a regular basis. Its great for sending in a lunch box to school for our son. Its the real deal.

Good idea.Thanks

Trust me on this: don't let it go too much past the expiration date. It clumps. It pours out of the carton in disgusting chunks.

We keep this real milk only for the short term. constantly replacing and using it. For long term we use Grandma's pantry powdered milk. JustaPrepper did a big comparison years ago and that was the winner. we have tried it and like it.
