Those colors just scream "don't eat me!"  But no, I don't know what kind it is.  It's definitely not a sulfur shelf chicken of the woods.

If you have to ask, you definitely should not eat it.  Also, do not trust anyone's online identification.

I wasn't about to eat it, just wanted to know if someone here knows what it is or could direct me to a reliable source to identify it.

Looks like some type of tree fungi ... Was it near a tree or tree root?  Maybe a buried log or stump?
