So many I have heard speak one way or the other on the pope.
Mods if this needs go politics section I understand...
But many even CNN or fox an other Christian avoidance or bashers are praising this Man this Pope.
An a few many others dislike key points in his speeches and fewer still lean to him as a false prophet.
     What is your view?
An how do you lean?

Not Catholic.
Originally liked him.
Now not so much. Can't quite put my finger on it.
Not trying to start a fight. Just answering the question.

For the position he holds, he seems humble enough.

His message of protecting and looking after each other and the world is a good message of peace and love.  They can be read into as having political meanings but may or may not have been meant that way.

Disclaimer, I'm not Catholic.  I don't know how much influence the church has these days, but I don't think it's really that much.

I think he's an admirable old man, nothing more, nothing less...

On a side note, I heard that the secret service was afraid that Obama would burst into flames if he touched the Pope...

My opinion on this "socialist" pope........

not great.   He is deeply involved in Agenda 21 (the current version Agenda 30).....

He creates good press moments like having the "illegal alien" child brought to him by his security so he can make a point about his view on immigration.  So he is a manipulator, and a "show man".

I don't like him.

I was brought up catholic and no longer identify as one since becoming an adult and paying attention to whoever wears the hat when they speak. I'm pretty sure a lot of us don't care for him for a lot of the same reasons.

Likewise.  I'm kinda sorta trying to get back to my roots lately.  Not sure how good I'm doing.  After all, here it is on Sunday morning and I'm on the forum.

Isn't the Pope the leader of the Catholic church and God's representative on Earth sort of thing?

I am sure this will get moved now, but leadership isn't always seen as such in the beginning.  From the religious side of thinking, immigration is a very simple subject, help others.  Doesn't matter race or nationality...just help them if you can.  The Laws of Men type thinking doesnt apply there...

As for Agenda 21, if you mean the UN Agenda 21, thats just the type of thing a religious leader should push.  Betterment of mankind and the Earth, no?

Was JP the 2nd too outspoken as well?

I go, but not always, learning, an Trying, doing some good is part of the Christian.
Im told sometimes you are some Christian, your actions, your veiws....
Aggravating for sure, but between them and me I at least try, I attempt something. I look at my bible, do my studying, read upon some stuff, go once and a while, I left tracts behind, speak of him, do something's different than before. I lost my aunt and she was a religious anchor and I've had some trouble with out her but I TRY. I attempt daily prayers, still a work in progress but thats ok. I like History and Christianity was different in earlier times, I believe in him, and if you choose not to, alright I cant make your mind up. I dont.. "push".. if im wrong I'll know when I go...
